Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst or in a similar payroll-related role
- In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficient in ADP Workforce Now payroll software and MS Office applications
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with both California payroll a big plus!
What the job involves
- We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join our team
- The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and timely disbursement of payments to employees
- The Payroll Analyst will also be key in maintaining payroll records, implementing best practices, and collaborating with various departments to streamline processes
- Payroll Processing:
- Participate in end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and distribution of salaries, wages, commission, stock and bonuses
- Ensure accuracy in payroll computations and adherence to company policies and relevant regulations
- Compliance:
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local tax regulations to ensure payroll compliance
- Assist with payroll compliance matters including multi-state/multi-jurisdiction tax withholding, garnishments, and key annual audits (i.e., 401(k), workers compensation, external audit, etc)
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures to guarantee accurate and legal payroll processing
- Process prior quarter adjustments/amendments in preparation for year-end
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with HR, finance, Legal and other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll matters and provide timely and accurate information
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in payroll management
