Who you are
- BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field
- 3+ years of full-stack web development experience
- Designing and building APIs
- Designing schemas and performant queries for relational databases
- Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code
- Prior professional experience using React
- Prior experience using Ruby on Rails a plus
- Eagerness to learn from and work with a collaborative team
- Commitment to quality and passion for technology and creating cutting-edge solutions
- Ability to manage tasks and to contribute towards multiple initiatives during a sprint
What the job involves

- We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Snapsheet’s Customer Vendor Management team that is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to create impactful solutions
- As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be actively participating in developing enhancements to Vendor Integration functionality in Snapsheet Cloud
- Development will involve building out a backend data model, APIs and a new frontend to support that user experience
- This feature will enhance capabilities for new and existing third party vendors integrating with Snapsheet Cloud
- CVM is also looking to expand its Total Loss Service capabilities to offer more functionality for its internal team
- This work will involve integrating with third party APIs, building out new data models and enhancing the user experience based on feedback from internal stakeholders
- Expanding the platform’s offerings for providers
- Breaking down APIs with a focus on performance and scalability
- Continuous improvements to our tech stack, processes, and infrastructure
- Partnering with our other engineering teams to enhance configurability within our platform
- Collaborating with other engineers, product management and design to identify and solve complex problems
- Contributing to technical design processes and provide improvement suggestions and feedback
- Playing an influential role in growing Snapsheet to be the industry leader in technology
- Working in an agile environment and participating in weekly stand ups, retrospectives, etc
- Proactively re-evaluate scope, flag issues, and suggest alternatives
- Mentoring junior developers and contributing to development team best practices

Snapsheet delivers end-to-end and modular cloud SaaS solutions for claims management, helping to digitize and automate the space. Its vast capabilities, including an AI-powered damage estimation tool, make claims processes easier to manage and less risk-prone for clients and providers alike.
In recent years, there has been a surge in interest in insurtech, which has certainly helped Snapsheet capture clients and support as it expands. As the sector continues to reassess procedures across the board, a further shift towards automation seems likely, driving yet more clients towards the kind of offerings that the company provides.
