Role
Who you are
- This role is perfect for someone who thrives on testing, optimisation, and driving measurable results from performance channels
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience running Google Ads, UAC, and/or Apple Search Ads for a mobile app or subscription-based business
- Proven success managing seven-figure annual budgets efficiently at scale
- Deep understanding of paid search mechanics (keywords, match types, bidding, automation)
- Familiarity with the nuances of iOS and Android app campaigns (including Web2App and SKAN)
- Experience with YouTube campaigns for performance
- Proficiency with AppsFlyer (or another MMP)
- Strong analytical mindset, with focus on CAC, ROAS, LTV, and subscriber growth
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

What the job involves
- We’re hiring a Performance Marketing Manager (Search & App Growth) to support paid acquisition across Google Ads, Universal App Campaigns (UAC), Apple Search Ads, Microsoft Ads, and YouTube. You’ll support all things search and app campaign optimisation, with responsibility for scaling spend efficiently against strict CAC and LTV goals
- You’ll shape the roadmap, build best-in-class campaign structures, and work closely with creative, product and analytics teams to maximise impact
- Support of paid search & app growth platforms (Google Search, UAC, Apple Search Ads, Microsoft Ads, YouTube)
- Build and manage a rigorous testing framework across keywords, copy, targeting, creatives, and bidding strategies
- Partner with creative teams to brief and optimise creative assets for UAC & YouTube
- Monitor campaign performance daily/weekly, optimising against CAC, ROAS, and LTV goals
- Troubleshoot tracking, attribution, and signal issues (Appsflyer, S2S integrations, SKAN)
- Evolve measurement frameworks to validate incremental impact across channels
- Report on performance and share learnings with the wider business

As a way to keep fit, running has shot up in popularity in recent years, partially due to accessibility, especially during the pandemic. But for those who want to take running to the next level – whether that be a 5K or a marathon – it can be difficult to know where to start in terms of a training plan. Runna supplies an app with personalised training plans for all types of runs, to help people achieve their running and fitness goals.
Runna was founded in 2020 by running enthusiasts for running enthusiasts, in response to the lack of tools – save paying a professional trainer – available to help runners train. Although there is a wealth of day-to-day running apps available, where Runna stands out is in providing training plans for specific races, which can be distinguished by distance and goal time. In addition, it does this whilst maintaining a sense of community, which has proven to be a popular feature amongst other running apps, and still caters to a range of experience levels.
Runna has seen consistent subscriber growth since its launch, serving thousands of users globally. The company plans to build and scale into the future, reach more customers, and expand its team. An acquisition by fitness giant Strava will help it on its way to achieving these aims.
