Role
Who you are
- We are looking for a skilled and motivated Backend Developer with 3-5 years of experience to join our team
- 3-5 years in backend software engineering, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS services
- Python proficiency for backend development
- Hands-on expertise with AWS Step Functions and event-driven architecture
- Strong knowledge of core AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora/Postgres, and S3
- Proven ability to design and implement large-scale, high-availability systems
- Experience with microservices and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
- Proficiency with AWS observability tools such as CloudWatch and X-Ray
- Fluent German and English skills at a professional level are required
Desirable
- Experience integrating LLMs with AWS Bedrock
- Practical experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks
- Background in building complex AI-driven workflows that combine structured logic with LLM reasoning
- A proven track record in production-grade systems within financial, enterprise, or other regulated industries
What the job involves
- In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying backend services that power our core products
- You will work with a modern tech stack centered on Python and AWS, with a specific focus on building scalable, event-driven architectures and integrating the latest Generative AI technologies into our systems
- Your expertise will be crucial in building robust and highly available applications that can handle complex data flows and business logic
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python
- Design and implement event-driven workflows using AWS Step Functions to orchestrate business processes
- Integrate and leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) with AWS Bedrock to build AI-powered features
- Utilize and manage core AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora/Postgres, and S3
- Design and build large-scale, high-availability systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and security
- Work with microservices and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and data scientists to deliver end-to-end solutions
