You have experience leading, company-wide projects with cross functional teams

What the job involves

Spotify is seeking a Compensation Partner to be part of the global Compensation team
This is a stimulating and challenging role in an exciting and fast-paced international organization with excellent development opportunities
Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music
You'll own the quarterly sales incentive program and process
Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, and Finance to run a successful program
Provide professional guidance on our compensation programs which consist of cash and long term incentives
Work closely with the HRBP's and leads of the business you support and provide them with relevant analytics and insights
In addition to sales programs, lead and support broad-based compensation processes including the annual compensation review, promotion window, pay equity analysis, and many more!
Work closely with our Talent Attraction team and provide guidance on offers for new hires and country transfers
Conduct job evaluations and make compensation recommendations for existing Spotify employees
This team operates within the Eastern Time Zone for collaboration

Spotify was founded in an attempt to combat the rampant music piracy that was causing significant harm to the industry. The company has since taken music streaming mainstream and now has 180m+ paying subscribers across the world.

With features that include a highly accessible interface and a vast catalogue of artists, Spotify's strong brand has been able to maintain growth in spite of fierce competition from deep-pocketed rivals like Amazon and Apple. The company has achieved this by making smart acquisitions to move into other verticals to strengthen its offerings, especially podcasting, by acquiring Gimlet Media, Anchor and Parcast.

Spotify's future plans include rapid growth with a goal to become a one-stop destination for all digital sound, as well as AI and NFT integrations. However, high costs incurred from the acquisition of exclusive podcasts, increasing competitor strength, and weak bottom-line growth mean that the company must find a balance to maintain its position in the sector.
