Who you are

- 5-8 years of related cybersecurity and renewals experience

- Proven track record of success and over-achievement of renewal quota in previous positions
- Deep understanding of SaaS offerings and pricing models and ability to learn Wiz's offerings and pricing with agility
- Experience in SaaS revenue organization: Sales, CSM, or prior renewals team experience
- Familiarity with systems: Salesforce, CPQ, IronClad, Planhat
- Confidence and ability to navigate customer and partner renewal processes per Wiz rules of engagement
What the job involves
- Alongside Wiz's broader Sales and Customer Success teams, our Renewal Manager is playing a critical role in Wiz's customer retention and expansion strategy
- Wiz is looking for a Senior Renewal Manager who is motivated, collaborative and process-oriented to secure up-for-renewal dollars and mitigate renewal risk
- Handle the quote-to-close process for renewals 180 to 90 days in advance of renewal due date
- Achieve or exceed quarterly revenue goals, tied to retention, growth and term extension of existing customer contracts
- Partner with the Sales and Customer Success teams to assess customer health and drive the appropriate renewal solution
- Maintain and report an accurate forecast of renewals within assigned book
- Manage the renewal process for multiple large customers concurrently and prioritize your time effectively to limit risk and ensure on time renewals
- Escalate whenever appropriate to help resolve customer concerns
- Identify “at-risk” renewal clients before renewal date and escalate to appropriate team members, mitigate contraction and churn within all deals
- Appropriately engage with the customer to champion the Wiz renewal and solution value
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our channel and alliance partners in order to identify and close joint opportunities
- Collaborate cross functionally with Legal and Deals Desk as applicable
- Recommend and contribute to process improvements
Our take
Originally founded in Israel – a hotbed for rapid growth cybersecurity companies of late – Wiz hit the headlines when it became the world’s fastest growing software company in Summer 2022. Incredibly, the company clocked up $180 million in annual recurring revenue in under two years since launching its first product, boasting major customers like Salesforce, Slack, BMW, and Asos.
It’s impressive enough that the startup was able to attract hundreds of millions in investment so early in its lifespan, but the fact that it was co-founded by a team of former Microsoft executives no doubt helped on this front. However, to generate this kind of revenue so soon is extremely rare.
The company has fueled its growth with aggressive hiring and product expansion, adding modules for Container and Kubernetes security, DSPM, and CDR - enabling organizations to further consolidate their cloud security program into a single, fully comprehensive platform.
Following its early 2023 Series D funding round, the company has reached a $10 billion valuation, officially making it the world's largest cybersecurity unicorn and it is the fastest SaaS company to achieve such a valuation.
