Role
Who you are
- We are seeking an experienced marketer that has proven experience in generating awareness and persuading clients in France
- Someone that has the leadership experience in rapid growth and being a spokesperson in their country, while also having the willingness to execute a multi-channel strategy autonomously
- 7+ years in a marketing role where you autonomously developed marketing/growth strategies and delivered successful campaigns
- A proven track record in growing new users in a highly competitive environment
- Regional expertise (language, culture, etc) for this geography. Additional country expertise is a bonus
- Advanced crypto knowledge including how crypto products work, crypto revenue models, and the crypto players in your region
- Experience with marketing in a regulated business, preferably in financial services
- Strong knowledge of marketing analytics including key ratios and performance metrics, attribution modeling, and A/B testing. Proven use of analytical tools and MarTech
- We will strongly assess creative thinking; we are looking for people that have growth ideas grounded in logic and data, while being capable of supporting their ideas and persuading others to enact them
What the job involves
- This role will be accountable for France growth and will push for optimal Kraken positioning and competitiveness versus local competitors
- Develop marketing strategies to bolster Kraken’s market share in region, while working with cross-functional teams to execute
- Grow new users in-region and improve performance across their customer lifecycle including initial onboarding, trading, and growth across Kraken’s product suite
- Leverage global campaigns, creatives, content, and brand guidelines to localize according to the preferences of regional audiences
- Develop local-first ideas that uniquely position Kraken’s brand and persuade potential customers to take our calls to action
- Roll your sleeves up - this may include producing content, planning/managing events, bolstering Kraken web pages, localizing ads, managing local social media handles, representing Kraken in PR and interviews, and much more. We are looking for versatile marketers that can work with others and do it themselves when necessary
- Measure results; work with our data to understand marketing performance and make recommendations to adjust for greater effectiveness

Kraken is the world’s largest global bitcoin exchange in euro volume and liquidity. Kraken’s clients also trade USD, CAD, ETH, XRP, LTC and other digital currencies, on a platform consistently rated the best and most secure bitcoin exchange by independent news media.
Kraken was the first bitcoin exchange to have its market data displayed on the Bloomberg Terminal, the first to pass a cryptographically verifiable proof-of-reserves audit, and one of the first exchanges to offer leveraged bitcoin margin trading.
Kraken are one of the top 3 bitcoin exchanges by volume, behind Coinbase and bit-x with an 18% market share. While this is a competitive space to operate in - the volume of crypto being exchanged every day is very high, so there's space for multiple winners.
Kraken have made a number of acquisitions and have strengthened its world-leading position with the launch of new products, features and apps and a 24/7 multi-lingual support line. The company will continue to provide clients with easier and more versatile ways to participate in the crypto ecosystem.
