Who you are

2+ years' experience working in an Android Developer position
Monitor application stability using Crashlytics, ANR reports, and performance metrics
Work closely with Product, QA, Backend, and Design to deliver complete features
Implement tracking events for product analytics and feature performance
Support feature rollouts, configurations, and A/B testing requirementsWrite reusable, well-tested, and documented code
Have Published mobile applications on the Google Playstore
Solid experience in Kotlin and Java
Good experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Good knowledge of OOP design principles
Strong analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to perform well in a dynamic environment
BSc degree in Computer Science or other relevant areas
Since most of our team is around Asia and Eastern Europe, we require someone within GMT+2 to GMT+7

Desirable

Experience in streaming apps
Mobile apps analytics and tracking (firebase analytics will be fine)
Experience working on WebRTC
Familiar with WebSocket
Good UI taste

What the job involves

We are looking for an Android developer who will join our Engineering team to develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications. You will also collaborate with other internal teams to develop functional mobile applications and support existing mobile products of our company
You should have significant experience in mobile development and be able to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment. We also expect you to be passionate about mobile platforms and translating code into user-friendly apps
Develop fully functional Android applications by writing clean code
Create and execute unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
Support the entire application lifecycle, including concept, design, test, release, and support phases
Retrieve specific requirements and suggest solutions to improve user experience
Evaluate and debug mobile applications to optimize their performance
Work together with the Product Development team to plan new features
Support legacy applications and suggest ways to improve or replace them
Oversee the compliance of applications with established quality standards
Find and suggest new features, applications, and protocols
Stay informed about new technology trends

Our take

Numrah is a mobile messaging development company operating out of Saudi Arabia, aiming to become the leading messaging company in the Middle East and North Africa.

Whilst European and Western digital messaging app markets are in the thrall of companies such as WhatsApp, the MENA region is a varied and province-dependent sector. Numrah has been cited as one of Saudi Arabia’s best mobile startups on beststartup.asia, and seems to be turning heads across the region.

That being said, Numrah’s website only has two products - a toolkit for evaluating business ideas and an app-building cost calculator. Whilst these two products may act as an initial introduction and consultancy for Numrah, its client list and achievements to date are either still in stealth mode or are yet to come to fruition. Numrah must build up a public client list and expand its team to achieve the ambitious goals it has set itself.
