Senior Manager of Data Engineering, Prove

• We are seeking a results-oriented and experienced Senior Manager to lead our data engineering team
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in data engineering, including Data Orchestration, Data Pipelines, Medallion Architecture, and Data Governance, coupled with proven leadership capabilities
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Proven experience in building and managing teams focused on data pipelines, orchestration, and governance
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, Medallion architecture, and distributed data processing tools (e.g., Spark, Databricks, dbt)
• Expertise in cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL)
• Strong programming skills in Python or other general-purpose programming languages
• In-depth understanding of data governance principles, data cataloging, and data quality management
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills

• Define and execute the technical strategy for data engineering in alignment with business needs
• Drive the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and workflows using batch and streaming technologies
• Oversee the implementation and optimization of Apache Airflow for orchestrating and automating data workflows
• Provide technical leadership in maintaining Medallion (Bronze, Silver, Gold) architecture to ensure organized and high-quality data
• Establish and enforce best practices for data governance, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and quality
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and track data quality metrics
• Lead the development of data pipelines to process and analyze billing data, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Build and optimize data solutions to support customer analytics, enabling actionable insights into customer behavior and trends
• Collaborate with finance, product, and marketing teams to define requirements and deliver tailored data solutions
• Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand and prioritize data needs
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business leaders, ensuring seamless communication and delivery of solutions
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in data engineering and recommend relevant tools and practices
• Promote the adoption of CI/CD practices in data engineering workflows to enhance reliability and efficiency
• Drive the continuous improvement of team processes, tools, and methodologies
