Who you are
- Professional experience with sales and a clear sales career orientation
- Your verbal and written communication skills in English are excellent
- You are self-motivated, resourceful with a can-do attitude
- Excellent organizational skills
- You are comfortable talking to strangers and are an expert making the first contact and building valuable relationships
- Good, positive attitude is a must!
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques
- Experience with a CRM and email automation tools are a good plus
What the job involves
- The BDR plays a vital role in building the sales pipeline to ensure the success and growth of our B2B solutions
- As an BDR at HTB, your primary focus will involve conducting extensive market research to discover new potential business clients and initiating contact with them
- The remaining time will be dedicated to qualifying leads through calls and collaborating with the sales team to develop effective BDR campaigns encompassing messages, calls, and emails
- You'll be part of a diverse revenue team, consisting of BDRs, AEs, Solution Engineers, Customer Success, and Marketing professionals
- As a Business Development Representative at HTB, you'll report to our BDR Head (US-based), who will guide your growth in the role, while working closely with AEs in your region

- You'll wield a powerful arsenal of technology tools to conquer your goals, including Hubspot, Apollo, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and more

- Have a direct impact on the teams success, as the first point of contact for new HTB customers
- Become a product expert and a brand ambassador for HTB
- Collaborate with Marketing and execute lead generation strategies to schedule a targeted number of appointments for the sales team
- Optimize call scripts, email pitches, and other outreach methods to improve generation of leads
- Contact potential clients through various means of communication
- Explore and identify client needs and match them with appropriate products/services

- This role is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime. The expected schedule for this role is Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week. Additional hours must be approved in advance. HTB follows all federal and state overtime regulations

- Level 4: Meet with the Global Head of BDR. Level's objective: connect with the hiring manager and impress them with your skills
- Level 5: You've officially received an offer from HTB! To complete the last level and the Quest, all you need to do is accept the offer

Our take
Cybersecurity attacks have ballooned in number recently, shining a spotlight on the urgent need for tighter, sharper cybersecurity measures. Hack the Box’s response has been to create what they call a ‘massive cyberhacking playground’. It’s a cybersecurity skill platform where B2C users can explore gameified cyber training and penetration testing exercises, engage with the infosec community, and explore careers vacancies. B2B customers can access the same training, with additional administrative features.
All in all, it’s a comprehensive offering that allows Hack the Box to sit at the intersection of two lucrative and growing markets. On the one hand, an increase in people carrying out career pivots towards the tech sector, and pursuing online training opportunities. On the other, an increased business focus on (and investment in) improving cybersecurity postures.
Consequently, Hack the Box has seen substantial growth over the past few years, off the back of considerable funding up to series B. It’s touted as the world’s largest hacking community, with over 3.3 million platform members and a growing number of products, including new training programs such as penetration testing labs, and an academy. With demand for these skills rising, and demand for online teaching equally strong, Hack the Box is operating within a strong market with good growth potential.
