- 8+ years in product management or similar role, ideally within enterprise SaaS, Platforms, or AI experiences
- Proven track record of driving strategy and leading without direct ownership, working across teams to influence direction and outcomes
- Excellent communicator who can distill complexity and influence across executives, peers, and cross-functional teams
- Strategic, analytical, and operationally minded. You’re comfortable shifting from vision to details and back
- Passionate about user experience. You care deeply about making software feel intuitive and helpful
- Skilled at navigating ambiguity and helping teams stay focused and aligned

- The Connected Experiences (CXP) team at Workday is reimagining the employee experience, making it simpler and faster for people to get things done at work
- Whether it’s completing a task in the Workday mobile app, getting answers through AI-powered search and assistants, or

- We’re looking for a Senior Principal Product Manager to lead strategic product initiatives across the CXP portfolio and serve as a key partner to the VP of Connected Experiences
- This is a high-impact IC role at the intersection of product innovation, cross-platform strategy, and executive leadership
- You’ll define and drive long-range product strategy across our most important investment areas. You’ll also act as a strategic thought partner and force multiplier, supporting org-wide alignment, decision-making, and cross-functional execution on the team’s highest priorities

- Drive the strategy across CXP focus areas by contributing insights, surfacing opportunities, and aligning across product leaders
- Synthesize external trends, customer feedback, and internal data into actionable product opportunities and strategic recommendations
- Support alignment of team to org strategy. Lead definition of CXP level objectives and key results, track progress, identify risks, and ensure follow-through across teams
- Collaborate closely with leaders across the company to align priorities and accelerate the delivery of high-impact initiatives
- Own the highest-priority initiatives that require strong cross-functional leadership, ensuring clear goals, coordinated execution, and measurable impact
- Represent CXP’s strategy in executive forums, customer briefings, and cross-functional planning conversations
- Partner with Connected Experiences leadership team to drive clarity, focus, and follow-through across the organization
- Prepare clear, concise briefings and materials that support high-stakes decisions and executive discussions

Workday is a cloud-based software vendor that provides management of workforces and finances. The company uses a single database for workforce management and financial management to offer integration and optimize business intelligence across companies. It has added to the packages and tools it offers over the years, providing analytic options that allow companies to combine third-party data with information collected by Workday.
Workday has acquired and paired up with many other companies to keep expanding its offering. In 2021, it purchased the employee feedback platform Peakon in response to the growing need for managers to be able to survey workers and collect satisfaction data without face-to-face meetings. The company has also bought and developed many financial tools and HR management tools.
The company’s goal is to provide end-to-end back office services and while there are other providers, such as UKG Pro and Ceridian HCM, Workday’s broad offering helps them to stand out. Though it faced a tough global market in 2023 and has shed some of its headcount, Workday has seen a 6.5% gain in value in the first quarter of 2024. It is now focusing on growth and developing the AI capabilities of its platform. .
