Who you are
- You’ll be comfortable switching gears, responding to feedback, and iterating fast in a world where specs aren’t always final, and answers aren’t always obvious
- Curiosity and Flexibility: A willingness to take on varied challenges, adapt quickly, and switch between contexts as needed
- Product Mindset: A drive to understand user needs and business goals - and a belief that code is a means to solve real problems
- Technical Skill: . Stong technical knowledge and strong experience in TypeScript – bonus points if you know Python too, or have experience in our TS Stack (Express, NestJS & React)
- Resilience in Ambiguity: Comfortable working without detailed specs and iterating through feedback and collaboration
- Strong Communication: Clear, thoughtful communicator who contributes to a collaborative and inclusive team culture
- Experience: 3+ years in a software engineering role, preferably in a fast-paced or start-up environment
- Full Stack Focus: Confidence working across the stack, with a strength in backend development
- Coding Standards: Proven ability to write clean, testable code that others can understand and build upon
- Technical Environment: Familiarity with modern development tools and cloud infrastructure; experience with DevOps or infrastructure-as-code is a plus
Desirable
- AI/NLP Experience: Exposure to LLMs or AI-driven products is a bonus, but not required
- Product Collaboration: Experience working closely with Product and Design functions to iterate on user-facing features
What the job involves
- As a Senior Software Engineer at AutogenAI, you’ll play a key role in building core features of our AI-powered SaaS application
- Working within a fast-moving, collaborative team, you’ll bring flexibility and problem-solving focus to everything from infrastructure to feature delivery
- This is a full-stack role with a focus on backend development, contributing to a scalable SaaS platform that uses AI to enhance user experience, not define it - so your work will focus on building reliable, performant systems that solve real-world problems
- You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and the broader Build team to deliver solutions that meet user needs and drive business value, in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment
- Feature Development: Design, build, and deliver features that solve real-world user problems, with an emphasis on back-end systems
- Problem Solving: Tackle complex challenges with creativity and pragmatism, balancing technical best practices with delivering business outcomes
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Design, and other Engineers to refine requirements, gather feedback, and iterate on solutions quickly
- Quality and Maintainability: Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to team standards, tools, and documentation
- Operational Contribution: Help monitor and troubleshoot live systems, supporting team efforts to improve reliability and scalability
- Process Participation: Contribute to stand-ups, retros, and planning sessions with ideas, insights, and thoughtful feedback

Not only is the cost of writing talents' time an issue, it's also a constant worry to ensure that everyone is putting their best foot forward at all times adhering to the company's style guide, and the cost of miscommunications and errors in both internal and external communications is being minimised.
Utilising the latest advances in natural language processing, AutogenAI seeks to replace manually-generated content with text generated by its General Language Engine, also known as Genny-1. Its multi-disciplinary team works with clients to understand their needs, collates existing text to fine tune its model to that company's voice, then deploys Genny-1 in the areas of the business where it will have the greatest impact.
While this is likely to produce the best returns in bid proposals and other high value-add activities, AutogenAI can be applied to a wide range of internal and external business processes such as marketing, sales and public relations. As the use of AI becomes more mainstream, AutogenAI seeks to position itself as a vital tool in all forms of business communication, and substantial funding rounds show that it is well poised to achieve this.
