Role
Who you are

- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in banking, consulting, startups, or high-velocity environments where you had to figure things out fast
- Technically savvy and eager to lean on new technologies to automate and scale processes

- Extremely high standards of personal integrity
- Comfortable disagreeing with senior executives and working through productive conflict
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to prioritize other stakeholders’ needs over your own

- You'll be owning the CEO’s calendar, making sure he is focused on the highest-leverage use of his time and stepping in when needed
- Providing fast-turnaround on ad hoc data analysis of key user/financial metrics (if you know SQL that’s good, if you want to learn SQL that’s great)
- Recruiting top-tier talent that aligns with our culture of speed and ownership
- Working with VP of Partnerships on sales outreach and building pipeline from ground up
- Coordinating cross-functional initiatives across growth/engineering/design/ML teams
- Reaching out and coordinating news coverage of GPTZero (e.g., https://observer.com/2025/08/gptzero-ai-writing/)

- Drafting investor reporting, including contributing to investor and board presentations
- Making sure the office plants don’t die
- Who you’ll be working with:
- Edward, our cofounder/CEO, ex Bellingcat, Microsoft, BBC investigative journalism
- Alex, our cofounder/CTO, ex R&D at Uber self-driving division and Facebook, 5 patents in ML
- Jonathan, our VP of Operations, ex YipitData, private equity, investment banking
Our take
Since generative AI exploded onto the scene, it has been put to good use across a range of industries. Unfortunately, it has also been used to ramp up the production of subpar content which is misleading or completely incorrect. Not to mention it has helped proliferate academic fraud.
GPTZero is on a mission to help combat this AI epidemic, with a platform capable of identifying content written by AI tools such as ChatGPT. Its solutions can help teachers, students, writers, recruiters and more to build back the trust that has been broken by easy-to-access gen-AI.
The company's mission is certainly compelling, and investors agree, with GPTZero receiving impressive funding already. It will use the funds to support its roadmap which includes the development and launch of many new features such as an editor platform that records and cites AI usage.
