Software Engineering Resident, SandboxAQ

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a M.S., or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
• Very strong programming proficiency in a modern programming language, ideally Python
• Comfortable and experienced with Linux-based systems and the command line
• Demonstrated experience working on projects that involve the integration of software with physical hardware
• Authorization to work in the United States
• A proactive, self-starter mentality coupled with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and a strong bias for action
• A high level of intellectual curiosity and a genuine, strong desire to learn continuously
• Exceptional strategic thinking capabilities combined with a practical, "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude to ensure execution and get things done effectively

• Actively collaborate with the product and engineering teams to design and prototype novel features for our cutting-edge medical devices
• Take ownership of integrating prototyped features into the full medical device software stack, ensuring seamless operation from the Python backend (Tornado/Flask) to the React-based frontend device operators use
• Create clearly-written, tested, scalable, and documented SW solutions
• Take a hands-on role in the lab, supporting the software setup, integration, and debugging on real-world hardware
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers on CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment workflows
