Role
Who you are
- 3–5 years of experience in product management or a similar role, with responsibility for the product roadmap
- Experience leading product development from ideation to execution and beyond
- Expertise using or developing tools for predictive and prescriptive analytics
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with data science models and AI/ML
- Excellent teamwork skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across functions
- Experience in the healthcare or health-tech industries, preferably working with health systems or hospitals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership and customers
- A passion for and capability in leading new product development, with the confidence and excitement to take on ambiguous challenges and deliver impactful solutions
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
What the job involves
- Take ownership of the product strategy, identifying key customer needs and driving impactful solutions
- Build a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points, traveling on-site when necessary
- Analyze metrics, customer and prospect feedback, internal stakeholder feedback, and market trends to identify the highest-value opportunities for the product
- Act as the “glue” and drive collaboration across Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Analytics, Marketing, Customer Success, Product Implementation, Operations, and other teams
- Define and achieve measurable goals tied to short-, medium-, and long-term business outcomes
- Own the prioritization of the roadmap and backlog, making it visible to the rest of the company
- Partner with other product teams to help track cross-functional dependencies and plan integrated roadmap delivery
- Manage projects from definition all the way through to release and implementation
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to integrate ML and AI tools into the product
- Serve as the team expert in various contexts, adapting your insights to different stakeholder needs
- Manage external stakeholders, keeping them informed while shielding the team from interruptions
- Delight customers and ensure the product is continuously improving and delivering exceptional value
Our take
Due to an aging population and increasing number of annual diagnoses, the U.S. healthcare system is under strain. Poor hospital capacity and operations has led to patients switching healthcare providers due to long wait times and bottlenecks.
LeanTaaS provides software for hospitals and health systems that uses machine learning to provide valuable predictive and prescriptive insights. These analytics are then used to help increase access, reduce wait times, and overall improve the performance of operations.
The startup’s main product iQueue specifically uses its AI analytics to make efficient decisions in regard to the management of operating rooms, patient beds, and infusion centers. This use of AI innovation provides a unique approach as it does not aim to change healthcare structures, but instead improve the efficiency of how hospitals use them. While it may seem odd for new technology to piggyback on legacy tech like text messaging, this has greatly facilitated its uptake in hospital systems across the US.
