- You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering

What the job involves
- You will join a small and efficient team, based in Paris, that works on high-impact features for our users
- The range of topics is wide and includes workflow automation, payment processing, and communication features such as email, calls, and letters
- In particular, we invest significantly in AI to supercharge our product with real use cases, and you will play a significant role in building our AI foundations
- We work in continuous deployment (10 deploys in production per day on average) and we value pragmatism, ownership, and growth mindset
- Architect and implement complex, high-impact product features from start-to-finish
- Collaborate closely with the product manager, the designer, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ship clean, maintainable code to production daily
- Participate actively in code reviews providing and receiving constructive feedback
- Troubleshoot and debug complex product issues
- Optimize application performance and ensure scalability
- Help us define and improve our coding standards, development processes, and best practices
- Stay up to date on new technologies and promote their adoption when appropriate

- Backend: Typescript, Node.js, Express, Postgres, and Redis
- Infra: GCP, Terraform

Our take
Upflow delivers a Financial Relationship Management solution to help B2B businesses create a better payment experience for customers. The idea is to allow the transition from chasing down outstanding invoices to engaging customers instead, making the whole process pain-free and digital.
Importantly, Upflow's platform integrates with other popular business accounting services like Xero and Quickbooks - positioning it as a standout option through ease-of-use. The company has received plaudits for this user-first approach in Europe, and has also taken on the infamously backward and cheque-heavy payments system in the US.
On top of this US expansion, the company has set its sights beyond the management of outstanding invoices. It is using new funding to deliver its own B2B payment platform, with a payment gateway to complement its accounts receivable automation solution.
