Full Stack Software Engineer, Scribd

• Strong understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks, especially React
• 3-5 years of experience working across the stack, especially React & Ruby on Rails
• A rich history of coding in modern, consumer-facing web applications
• A focus on creating value for our customers and a user-centric approach
• A desire to continuously improve the quality of the applications you work on, leaving every file touched better than it was
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; we're a remote company with a robust documentation (and Slack!) culture
• A collaborative spirit, as you’ll be working closely with product, design, and back-end engineers to implement features
• Strong opinions, loosely held on standards for front-end architecture and best practices
• Knowledge of APIs to comfortably participate in API design discussions with your server-side teammates
• Experience solving caching, observability, and performance problems in modern web applications

• This role predominantly focuses on the frontend but comfortability with the fullstack is a must as this team is often responsible for the entire feature, top to bottom
• Full-cycle software development will be your primary function, but we'll expect you to contribute in a number of ways, including advising on others' technical design, reviewing code, participating in interviews, and mentoring less experienced engineers
• You'll contribute to the code strategy and architecture, implementation, delivery, and operation of systems, end-to-end
