Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of production level experience in software engineering
- Highly proficient with Python and SQL
- Solid foundation knowledge of relational databases and data modeling
- Experience with cloud providers like AWS/Azure/GCP (ideally AWS)
- Experience with orchestration platforms (Airflow, Metaflow, Argo Workflows)
- Good communication and proactivity
Desirable
- Experience with production ML systems
- Experience with robotics libraries and tools: ROS, OpenCV, PCL, Open3D
- Familiarity with deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, Cloudformation, etc.)
- Experience with data processing frameworks
What the job involves
- We are currently looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer who will work closely with other Autonomy and Robotics teams to build and maintain tools and infrastructure to support the development of autonomous yard operation solutions
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data concepts and tools, be responsible for expanding and maintaining our data tools and infrastructure suite, and have a keen interest in robotics and ML
- Collaborate with the Autonomy and Robotics teams to ensure we are collecting the correct data to meet solution needs
- Build scalable, testable, maintainable data pipelines
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure to help scale data processing
- Proactively suggest ways for the team to leverage new technologies and architectures to improve the performance of our data platform
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and MLOps
- Business traveling in our headquarters in Denver, Colorado (3-4 times/year) to stay connected with the team
