Senior PHP Developer, OnBuy

• Proven experience in writing well architected, SOLID PHP 8
• Ability to design and build versioned RESTful APIs
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical challenges and solutions to non-technical colleagues
• Understanding of using MySQL at scale
• Experience with asynchronous programming (we use RabbitMQ and PubSub)
• Test-driven workflow (i.e. PHPStan and PHPUnit drives your modern development)
• Experience with service and microservice architecture

Desirable

• As a Senior PHP Developer, you will work within one of our cross-functional teams, each comprising of 4-5 developers
• You will build and maintain solutions within our eCommerce Marketplace platform
• Our tech stack is comprised of a custom MVC monolith, with supporting Laravel microservices
• Design, develop, and maintain new systems that scale
• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code
• Troubleshoot and optimise existing applications for performance and scalability
• Conduct code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members to maintain coding standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Maintaining legacy code; as well as writing new, modern, greenfield code
