Company mission
Cyware's mission is to better predict and prevent attacks through cyber fusion and a collective defense.
Role
Who you are
- You're a hunter. You would rather build the target list yourself than wait for one to land in your inbox
- You take ownership. Your number, your accounts, your misses. Nobody has to chase you for the activity or for an honest read on how it is going
- You are genuinely curious about cybersecurity. You want to understand how attacks work and why security teams buy, not memorize a pitch
- You treat AI as a force multiplier rather than a shortcut. You use it to go deeper and faster, and you check its work before a prospect ever sees it
- You are building toward a career in enterprise sales, and you know the reps you put in here are what get you there
- You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Prior outbound prospecting experience (BDR/SDR) with a track record you can quantify: meetings booked, pipeline sourced, and how consistently you hit the number
- Experience prospecting or working deals for cybersecurity platforms, not only point tools
- Real cybersecurity fluency. You can speak credibly about the threat landscape
- An ownership instinct: you work autonomously, stay organized, and own your results without close oversight
- Hungry to build a long-term career in enterprise sales. You treat this seat as where the craft gets learned, and you are deliberate about getting better at it
- Familiarity with technologies such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Intent tools, and AI tools like Claude/Gemini/ChatGPT
- You use AI to research at depth and speed, turning a raw account list into a prioritized target list with a point of view on every account on it
What the job involves
- Reports To: Business Development Manager
- Cyware is hiring a Business Development Representative to open doors at the accounts that matter most to us in North America
- This is the front of our funnel: you will own outbound prospecting into named target accounts, work side by side with the Sales Directors who close them, and use AI across your entire workflow to research deeper, personalize better, and reach the right people at the right moment
- We sell a platform rather than a point tool, which means the conversations are more strategic, the buying groups are larger, and every meeting you set carries real weight
- If you want to learn enterprise security sales from the ground up in a seat where your work is visible, this is that seat
- Own outbound prospecting into a named set of target accounts. Build the list, research the buying group, run the sequences, and meet the interested buyers. You are the engine behind your territory, not the executor of someone else's plan
- Partner directly with Sales Directors on account strategy and multi-threading, such as joint planning on which accounts to attack, which stakeholders to reach, and what message will land with each of them
- Use AI across your daily workflow: research accounts to real depth in minutes, personalize at volume without sounding automated, and surface the signals that tell you an account is worth calling today
- Generate qualified pipeline from both inbound and outbound, and hand off meetings that Sales Directors can actually run: context, pain points, and stakeholders included, not just a calendar invite
- Build real fluency in Cyware's platform, ICP, and buyer personas, enough to hold a credible conversation with a security leader about their problem rather than recite our differentiators
- Bring the field back inside. Tell Sales and Marketing what is landing, what is not, and which objections keep repeating, so the message gets sharper every month
- Participate occasionally in field and industry events
- Track activity and results in a CRM system and report on defined KPIs every week
- Participate in opportunity strategy development to help close business and meet monthly/quarterly/annual objectives, wherever applicable
Our take
The rise of digital threats, such as ransomware, has resulted in a huge necessity for digital threat intelligence. However, data collection has not yet been innovated on this, resulting in the success of a service being dependent on the laborious task of sifting through massive amounts of data.
Cyware provides an open-source threat intelligence package that automatically collects and analyses cyber-threat data. This provides an efficient and accessible solution for security analysts to tackle threat intelligence challenges. Ultimately, it allows them to focus on acting on resolutions, rather than analysing the data to find solutions manually.
Whilst many software companies provide cyber intelligence analytic solutions, the open-source nature of Cyware allows security analysts to collaborate. As a result, the startup provides a means to identify and prevent malicious hacking at an unprecedented rate.
