Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations and/or marketing
- This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in public relations, influencer partnerships, and localization
- Fluent in German 🇩🇪 and English 🇬🇧
- 2-5 years experience in ops or marketing roles, preferably within fintech or technology sectors
- In-depth understanding of the German and Austrian markets
- Ability to interpret market data and analytics
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive and flexible approach
Desirable
- Proven record of launching and scaling products in new markets
- Background in Management consulting or B2C growth
- Knowledge of current social media trends
What the job involves
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Country Manager to lead Deblock's market entry and growth in Germany and Austria 🇦🇹🇩🇪
- Develop and execute strategies to successfully launch Deblock in Germany and Austria
- Identify, engage, and manage relationships with PR agencies
- Source and negotiate partnerships with local influencers
- Adapt and contextualize our marketing materials to resonate with the local cultures and regulatory environments
Our take
The cryptocurrency landscape is shifting rapidly, with massive volatility in the markets and the stability of exchanges and investments in question. While it was easy enough for individuals to buy into the market while conditions were good, it is now quite difficult to exit without taking severe losses. Deblock was founded to offer a solution, allowing crypto-rich individuals to cash out of the market.
Still in stealth, it remains to be seen how Deblock will achieve this, but its founders are cryptocurrency and banking professionals, including the former Head of Crypto and the former Chief of Operations at Revolut. Although it is difficult to see where cryptocurrency will settle in the future it seems likely that a service allowing crypto holders to off-ramp from the market will be valued under any conditions.
Deblock has attracted funding and is working towards regulatory approval in France as well as hiring additional talent before its public launch. Over time it is aiming to operate across Europe. If it is able to take advantage of extremely volatile market conditions it could grow to become a significant business in the crypto sector.
