What the job involves
- You will be joining the NAMER sales function, on a team of new business Account Executives focused on accelerating Chargebee’s growth across the region
- This role is based remotely in the US and works in close partnership with the Business Development, Marketing, and Solutions Engineering teams to run full end-to-end sales cycles and deliver quarterly revenue goals
- The team places strong emphasis on go-to-market strategy, execution, and cross-functional collaboration, with a culture centered on continuous learning and development
- An Enterprise Account Executive at Chargebee focuses on winning new business across both D2C and B2B markets. In this role, you’ll meet directly with C-suite leaders, showing how Chargebee Retention can make a measurable impact on their business
- You’ll team up with colleagues across Solutions, Customer Success, Marketing, and Revenue to run strong sales cycles and help customers get lasting value from our product
- Meet and exceed quarterly sales quotas by landing and expanding strategic mid-market accounts
- Own your pipeline by generating 3x–4x coverage through a mix of inbound lead management and outbound prospecting, leveraging use-case-driven marketing content and case studies
- Lead high-value discovery and demo calls, multi-threading across mid-market organizations to help customers understand and realize Chargebee Retention’s value
- Clearly articulate Chargebee Retention’s ROI-focused value proposition, while understanding the subscription billing landscape and competitive players
- Bring a growth mindset, educating customers on best practices in billing, retention, and revenue recognition as they modernize and scale their businesses
- Manage the full sales cycle end-to-end, collaborating closely with solutions consultants, internal executives, customer success, and legal/finance teams to drive successful outcomes
Our take
Shifting to a subscription model can cause significant stress for companies of any size. Setup and management can prove complex, and the shift itself can be time-consuming. Chargebee has been working for over a decade now to remedy this issue, offering subscription-based SaaS and eCommerce companies a subscription billing and revenue management platform. Its software, stable REST API, and extensive customer support, have won significant clients including Pret a Manger, Calendly, and Okta.
The demand for subscription billing and revenue management is higher than ever, and Chargebee sees strong competition from companies such as Paddle, Chargify, and Recurly. However, the careful growth strategy it has adopted, in which it expanded from an SaaS focus to the eCommerce market, means it serves two sectors enjoying remarkable growth and hence has been able to grow impressively itself.
With a track record of careful expansion and a strong and simple product proposition, Chargebee is positioned well to maintain the industry leadership it has achieved. In addition, with more and more companies adopting the subscription model for their products, there is no doubt room for further growth in the future.
