Role
Who you are
- 3+ years experience in organic marketing, social media, or other related roles, with an added bonus of previous experience at a company serving parents
- Strong graphic design and video editing skills, plus the ability to create, shoot, and edit videos and design engaging graphics
- Hands-on experience with content creation and a proven track record of growing a brand's social media presence
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for storytelling and brand voice
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and emerging trends
- Familiarity with project management tools for content creation and planning (Canva, Figma, etc)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to evolving priorities
- Passion for supporting families and improving healthcare
- Startup experience is a plus
What the job involves
- We are seeking a dynamic and culturally attuned storyteller who is passionate about supporting families and fostering an engaged community of parents
- As our Organic Social Media Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping our brand narrative across all our owned channels, emphasizing Instagram, TikTok, and our blog
- Own the planning and execution of a monthly organic content calendar to support key brand priorities: launches, product updates, urgent health alerts, health education, viral/ cultural moments, and general community building
- Brief and collaborate with the clinical team to create engaging videos for blogs and social media
- Create visually appealing and on-brand content assets for distribution across channels
- Support on the creation of long-form content, including blog posts, downloadable PDFs, guides, and programming to drive traffic to our website and value for our audience
- Develop unique strategies for our owned social channels with an emphasis on Instagram and Tiktok
- Monitor and manage our social media channels, respond to comments + messages across platforms, direct inquiries to the appropriate teams, engage users + creators who are sharing about our platform
- Work with partners to lead influencer marketing strategy, manage relationships with existing creators, and onboard new creators
- Prepare regular reports summarizing key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights and recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support brand campaigns and partnerships and own the coordination of giveaways and other initiatives with like-minded partners

Summer Health is a pediatric care company that enables parents to get answers about their child's health, from an expert, in 15 minutes. A welcome departure from symptom checkers, which are infamous for panicking parents rather than informing them, the company's subscription service supplies access to certified pediatricians who supply more personalized answers.
The service works via text, with advice available 24/7, and also allows users to start and request chats with specific experts. This makes it a great hub for both emergencies and wider questions. Its a worthwhile proposition, and Summer Health has attracted significant investment. The latest round will support both the expansion of distribution channels and its service offerings.
