Who you are
- Autonomous operator: You take ownership of ambiguous commercial problems, exercise sound judgement, and drive outcomes without needing detailed direction
- Resilient and learning-oriented: You are comfortable spending significant time with customers, hearing “no” regularly, and using rejection and feedback as fuel to continuously improve the GTM motion
- Deeply customer-led thinker: You anchor decisions in customer needs, can anticipate objections, and design GTM experiences that build trust and conviction
- Strong analytical decision-maker: You are highly numerate, comfortable with funnel and performance metrics, and able to move confidently from analysis to action
- Credible, senior communicator: You can clearly and persuasively articulate complex ideas to founders, commercial leaders, cross-functional teams, and customers alike
- Conceptually curious and adaptable: You don’t need prior experience in Energy or Finance, but you enjoy going deep on complex domains and quickly building expertise to inform better decisions
What the job involves
- Own and evolve our core GTM motion: Work closely with the CEO and Commercial leadership to deeply understand customers, refine our narrative and value proposition, and turn what’s working today into a clear, scalable GTM system
- Drive qualification, prioritisation, and conversion quality: Define and continuously refine ICPs, segmentation, and buyer journeys to improve focus, conversion rates, and overall sales effectiveness as we scale
- Lead GTM for new product launches: Own the end-to-end GTM strategy for new products from early customer validation and value propositions through messaging, pricing, packaging, and launch execution. You’ll be running sales calls yourself so expect to roll your sleeves up
- Run customer discovery and experimentation: Personally lead ongoing discovery and testing (calls, interviews, structured experiments) to test demand, positioning, and willingness to pay, and translate insight into decisive GTM action
- Surface commercial insight and strategic opportunities: Maintain a strong, forward-looking view of the market and competitive landscape, analyse GTM performance end-to-end, and bring clear, data-backed recommendations to the CEO and leadership team
- Build durable feedback loops, tooling, and automation: Design and implement systems (including AI-enabled tooling) that enable “always-on” customer insight, faster GTM iteration, and reduced manual load across the organisation

Sunsave, founded in 2022, is on a mission to make the power of solar accessible to every household in the UK. They're the first (and as of 2025 the only) company in the UK to offer an FCA-authorised solar subscription service - a model that's been very successful in places like Germany and the US.
70% of people in the UK are interested in solar, and Sunsave's model removes the biggest barrier to adoption - the ~£10k typical upfront cost and long payback period - so customers can save on their energy bills from day one. They offer an all-in-one subscription that includes finance, installation, monitoring and maintenance, really helping customers get the most out of their systems
Already, the company has attracted the attention of blue-chip VC funds such as Norrsken, IPGL, the UK Department of Energy, and household name entrepreneurs, including Michael Spencer and Stuart Rose. Alongside this, they raised a £13M Series A in July 2025, alongside a £100M debt facility to scale their subscription model.
They plan to also expand into complementary products like EV chargers and heat pumps, alongside tariff optimisation and energy insight software. The eventual aim is to build the company's first decentralised home energy platform and revolutionise households' relationship with energy.
