Who you are

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lead Engineer based in London with expertise in DevOps practices and Ansible automation
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading and implementing efficient DevOps processes, as well as extensive experience in deploying and maintaining Ansible-based solutions
5+ Years experience with Risk and Application/Development Teams
Experience with automation technologies including Ansible, Terraform, YAML, Rest API's, JSON formatted playbooks etc
Knowledge of Financial markets
Extensive knowledge of DevOps principles, and associated tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker) applied on public Cloud and private Cloud technologies
Solid experience in scripting and automation using Python, Shell, or other relevant languages
Familiarity of working in an Agile environment, using methodologies like Scrum or Kanban

What the job involves

This Senior technical role will be a member of the Cross Functional Team within Post Trade
A skilled communicator who can provide guidance and mentorship to other team members that ensures the successful implementation and standardisation of DevOps practices
Automation of database deployment on AWS Cloud platform and LSEG's SDDC platform
Plan, deploy, and maintain Ansible-based automation solutions for infrastructure, application deployment, and configuration management
Develop and build standard processes for infrastructure as code (IaC) using Ansible and other relevant technologies
Lead efforts to identify and address performance bottlenecks, scalability concerns, and system optimisation needs within the DevOps and Ansible environment
Develop using DevOps technologies (e.g. Ansible, Terraform) in building software defined VM's
