What the job involves

As a Data Analyst at Fluro, you will play an important role in using the latest Technology stack to extract actionable insights from large datasets and inform strategic decision-making
Analysing data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
Recommending and suggesting improvements and changes based on data
Creating and presenting data visualizations and reports to facilitate understanding and decision-making
Building robust data engineering pipelines that underpin analysis and reporting
Working within cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions
Whilst projects come in a variety of different shapes and sizes, work is likely to focus on conversion, customer acquisition and commercial opportunity, operations and underwriting
You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of different stakeholders including senior leadership team members, other members of the data science team and many more
Collaborate with team members to create customized reports that address specific business needs
Develop and maintain interactive and visually appealing dashboards for effective communication of data-driven insights
Develop comprehensive ETL workflows to deploy scalable solutions
Maintain and update existing dashboards and reports
Propose actionable insights based on analytical findings to enhance business performance across a wide variety of different data-sets
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement suggested actions and measure their impact
Communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner
Work with stakeholders to assess and quantify the impact of new initiatives
Investigate and resolve a broad range of data quality issues, collaborating with Technology team and external parties where necessary

Fluro, previously operating as Lending Works, is a financial loan company with a focus on embedded lending, a type of loan that is offered through non-financial products or services.

Originally founded in 2014, Lending Works shed its model of peer-to-peer lending after being acquired by Intriva Capital in 2020 and rebranding as Fluro. Then in October 2022, European banking group BNP Paribas announced that they had financed £200M to Fluro as part of the latter’s shift into embedded lending.

Fluro’s shift indicates a growing trend in the UK that has seen an increasing number of consumer companies offering flexible repayments on products and goods. This has already been seen with larger digital payment platforms such as Paypal, but Fluro’s unsecured personal loans are an alternative to the traditional annual percentage rate (APR) approach. Since its rebranding and boost in funding, Fluro has more than doubled its staff and plans on continuing to expand its partnerships.
