What the job involves
- Warby Parker is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to assist the Accounting team in managing their corporate and consolidations reporting
- The Accounting Manager will have responsibility over operational expenses and accrual management as well owning close tasks, preparing financial statements, supporting financial audits, and managing a team of Senior and Staff Accountants
- Lead all aspects of our operational expense accounting, including accruals, prepaid expense management, and payroll allocations
- Be responsible for intercompany calculations and transfer pricing management
- Manage payroll, tax, and long/short-term balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage and review financial statement reporting during the month-end close for the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement and Flux analysis
- Be responsible for close checklist management and consolidations review
- Act as liaison between the Finance department and the Marketing, Payroll, Legal, and FP&A teams
- Strategically implement control procedures and process efficiencies to streamline reporting data and financial accuracy
- Assist with quarterly and annual financial audits
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Senior and Staff Accountants

The company's retail category disruption has led to it being one of the most successful direct-to-consumer brands of the early 21st century. It managed a successful IPO in 2021, has raised considerable funds and mad a number of high-profile collaborations. Its latest partnership is with Google, which sees the company plan to develop and release a range of AI glasses.
