Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in one of/many of a DevOps, Security Engineering, or SRE role
- Highly proficient in modern cloud providers, preferably Azure
- Experience with IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, etc)
- Programming ability in one or more general purpose languages (Python, Go, Rust, etc)
- Understanding of public cloud networking concepts
- Experience deploying complex and scalable cloud applications
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
Desirable
- Xperience with hardening and monitoring Kubernetes clusters
What the job involves
- Anduril's Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to focus on building world class defensive controls to protect the infrastructure around our advanced defense technology products
- This is a role with wide berth that will have the latitude to design and implement cutting edge security architecture
- Architect and implement defensive security controls for corporate, development, and production cloud environments
- Develop and maintain infrastructure to build and support our rapidly growing cloud deployments
- Monitor for and remediate security weaknesses and baseline regressions across cloud infrastructure
- Coordinate with infrastructure, application, and product teams to secure environments holding critical data
- Design and develop systems and processes that enable highly available & scalable systems
- Serve as a subject matter expert for teams across Anduril looking to build in the cloud
Our take
Anduril makes hardware and software for defense agencies including the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security. Its hardware products include specialist drones with a long flight time and surveillance towers.
This hardware is tied together by proprietary software, the Lattice platform, which uses sensor fusion, machine learning, and mesh networking to integrate real-time data from Anduril hardware and third-party systems into a single, autonomous operating picture. While the hardware observes and detects, the software can make decisions as to the threat level of any anomalies, and so allow for observation and protection of an area or building with minimal manpower.
Anduril closed a Series E funding round in 2022 led by Valor Equity Partners. This funding was used for research and development of its autonomous defense products, such as the Roadrunner, a modular twin-jet powered autonomous vehicle that can take off and land vertically. Variants of the Roadrunner include defensive warhead armed interceptors which are the first drone weapons that can be retrieved after deployment. The company has also expanded to Australia where it is working in tandem with the Australian Defence Force to improve its military technology and infrastructure and is recruiting talent worldwide to support its rapidly growing portfolio of defense projects.
