Robotics Software Engineer, Anduril Industries

• Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such as Robotics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
• Demonstrate experience leading projects or teams with the ability to inspire, mentor, and grow other engineers
• Proven understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization
• Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems
• Experience with data visualization and analysis in Python or Matlab
• 3+ years of C++ or Rust experience in a Linux development environment
• Eligible for a security clearance (Secret, Top Secret, TS with SCI, or equivalent)
• An active security clearance (Secret, Top Secret, TS with SCI, or equivalent)
• Must be eligible to obtain and hold a US DoD Security Clearance

Desirable

• The Tactical Recon and Strike (TRS) team at Anduril develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and all equipment to test, deploy and operate
• The team is responsible for taking products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt and Altius from paper sketches to operational systems

• We are looking for a Software Engineer to help build and enhance Anvil, an autonomous kinetic interceptor for precise and low-collateral defeat of Group 1 and 2 threats
• As a Senior Software Engineer on the Anvil team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Anduril’s cutting edge technology, contributing the development of systems that empower operators with real time, actionable intelligence in complex and dynamic environments
• Write and maintain core libraries (targeting and guidance, manufacturing automation etc.) that all robotics platforms at Anduril will use
• Own feature development and rollout for our products - recent examples include building a Software-in-the-Loop simulator, characterizing and improving battery consumption with route planning, and data egress/analysis
• Design, evaluate, and implement sensor integrations that support operation by both human and autonomous planning agents
• Work closely with our hardware and manufacturing teams during product development, providing quick feedback that contributes to the final hardware design
