Role
Who you are
- A university degree (B.Sc.) in computer science or a related field of study or a successfully completed training as an IT specialist
- You are starting your career or you have some experience as a developer in a professional team
- Good understanding of technical basics
- Solid Experience with Kotlin or Java
- Good analytical and communication skills, attention to detail and an independent work attitude
- Very good language skills in English. German knowledge is an advantage
- Enthusiasm for collaborating within an international, English-speaking environment
- A soft spot for automation and clean code
- Knowledge/Experience in the field of financial services is an advantage
What the job involves
- In the Wealth Tribe we provide wealth management services based on a cutting edge wealth management platform to our clients as well as to our B2B partners
- We always strive to improve and automate more parts of this platform to be able to deliver even faster high quality and secure features to our clients and partners
- The tribe is composed of multiple domain teams
- Each team is responsible for its defined domains and features
- This position is for one of those teams
- Create or rework functionalities around clients’ Money Management
- Work and learn with the best computer scientists, academics, and investment professionals
- Use modern technologies in an agile environment: Java/Kotlin, AWS, Jira, etc
- Build and enhance our in-house applications by employing a scalable and reliable approach
- Implement ideas independently in self-organised teams, or in collaboration with other teams
Our take
Interest around investing in digital assets is increasing steadily due to innovations in fintech smartphone applications and the popularity of blockchain finance such as cryptocurrency. While stocks and cryptocurrency have a lot to do with this increase in popularity, it has also led to new investors learning about ETFs and index funds, meaning more people are looking for easier ways to invest.
Scalable Capital provides a free smartphone application for the investing and trading of stocks, cryptocurrencies, commission-free ETFs, and index funds, with subscription fees providing commission-free stock trading. The application also features a machine learning-driven robotrading service called Smart Predict to aid in improving users' limit and stop orders.
Whilst several other European investment platforms focus on commission-free trading, Scalable Capital has taken a fresh perspective by focusing on providing commission-free ETF investment. By doing this, the company encourages smart long-term ETF investments over riskier day-trading, tapping into a more mature market than applications focused on stocks. With further growth expected in 2024 after impressive Series E funding, Scalable Capital is carving out its market share.
