Who you are
- The ideal candidate will be passionate, sales-oriented, results-driven, tech-savvy, organized, hard working and personable. This person is not afraid to pick up the phone and cold call to reach their goals!
- 1+ years of experience in a customer facing sales or customer support role
- Experience using Hubspot or Salesforce is ideal
- Strong writing and phone communication skills
- Motivated, go-getter, goal-oriented personality with an interest in sales
- Prior success/desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a transparent multi-cultural team
- College Degree or relatable experience preferred
What the job involves
- As a Sales Development Representative you will perform market research to source leads for new customers, engage with them, identify their potential needs, qualify their interest and viability, and create a relationship that will help drive the sales process
- Researching and evaluating additional leads/prospects through web research
- Promoting and marketing Obligo’s business through extensive and persistent cold calling, emails and communication to prospective clients
- Scheduling initial prospecting meetings for the sales team
- Providing in depth information to the Sales team to enable the most qualified and productive demos
- Working together with the Account Executive to grow a specific sales territories
- Working with the Sales Team Lead to support the acquisition of new accounts in the region
- Help as needed to build awareness on special projects / events
- Maintaining all contacts/opportunities and recording all progress in the CRM
- Keep a well-organized lead qualification funnel, record key data points and prior engagements, score leads according to their fit and probability of close
Our take
Moving into a property usually requires a security deposit, and whilst this will be returned upon move-out if a property has not been damaged, this money is soon spent once again on a new move-in deposit. This ultimately makes this chunk of money inaccessible to both the landlord and the renter, raising the question as to whether there is a better alternative to security deposits.
Obligo provides a flexible security deposit alternative for property renting, preventing renters from having to pay a security deposit up-front. Instead, the company provides a legal framework that only requires renters to pay when a damage charge has been submitted, with the company paying the landlord up-front whilst facilitating the renter to pay through interest-free instalments.
Landlords and renters already have choices for digital security deposit systems, but Obligo stands out by removing the necessity for up-front payments. The company has raised significant funding over the years, which supports expansion and the strengthening of partnerships.
