Role
Who you are
- You’ll have the autonomy to make key product and technical decisions — while knowing you have the backing of TravelPerk’s world-class infrastructure and engineering culture

- Extensive experience in similar roles building technically complex products in any web programming language
- An expert level at server-side, client-side or full stack development. Your final role within the team will depend on your skills and internal training will be provided

Desirable
- Startup or early-stage experience — you’re comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability
- Experience in the travel or events industry
- DevOps experience with the AWS suite

- People who like to build stuff (we really like people who maintain/contribute to open source projects)
- Experience using AI coding tools during development process, such as copilot, cline or similar
- Experience building AI backed product features using AWS, GCP or OpenAI platform
What the job involves
- Events is a new initiative within TravelPerk to reinvent how companies plan, book, and manage in-person events. We’re building an all-in-one platform for corporate events and group travel that removes the manual coordination and fragmented workflows event organizers face today
- After strong early traction and validation, we’re now doubling down on this opportunity. You’ll join at an exciting inflection point, helping us scale from a proven concept to a category-defining product, with full ownership over decisions that shape our roadmap and impact
- We operate as a small, autonomous team within TravelPerk, combining the agility and ownership of a startup with the global reach of a unicorn. You’ll join early and help define both the product and technology
- We’re on a mission to make organizing company events as effortless as booking a trip, and we’re looking for builders who want to make it happen
- We’re looking for builders — engineers who thrive in small, autonomous teams and want to own product and technical decisions from idea to launch
- In Events, you’ll collaborate closely with design and product, define the architecture, and deliver delightful, high-impact experiences for event organizers and attendees
- Product development in Python/FastApi and/or React for our event and group booking platform
- Designing and owning system architecture, integrations, and performance
- Connecting with third-party APIs (hotels, venues, calendars, etc.)
- Building fast, reliable user experiences that scale
- Setting engineering best practices, ensuring code quality and testing coverage
- Contributing to a culture of ownership, learning, and accountability
Our take
Although business travellers are often at the forefront of driving company growth, booking travel is typically a logistical nightmare as corporate travel tools are underdeveloped and stuck way in the past. Perk has built a platform free from micromanagement, creating an experience that puts business travellers first.
Perk's number of active users has grown year on year. Further, as well as more customers using the platform, those on it are using it more regularly. This is a clear signal that Perk has a product-market fit and is in scaling mode. The company has more than 2,000 customers, including scaleups like GetYourGuide, Breilting, Aesop and Medskin.
Recently rebranding from TravelPerk to Perk, the new name marks the next step in the company's transformation as it accelerates growth and broadens its mission beyond just travel management. The rebrand reflects its ambition to eliminate "shadow work" (hidden time-wasting tasks like filing expenses and chasing approvals), through AI-powered tools such as Perk Pay, which automates spend management and reduces fraud risks.
With dual headquarters in London and Boston as well as a growing footprint, Perk is evolving from a travel platform into a broader productivity partner for the modern business
