- Interest in finding the most suitable technical solution to any given problem
- Proven experience crafting clear and engaging public-facing documentation, ideally within a technology or product-focused environment, showcasing their ability to distil complex concepts into easily understandable and consumable content
- Ability to convey complex technical topics to a non-technical audience
- Solid understanding of the utilities/tools used in the software domains (ie., CRM, E-commerce, ERP, PIM) coupled with programming skills
- Experience working with and understanding REST API’s & JSON
- The ability to build rapport and relationships in a pre-sales and post-sales environment
- Proven experience in being able to assess a customer’s requirements and align that to the companies’ capabilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to engage in business discussions with C-level decision makers
- Experience demoing multiple software products in large group settings
- Pre and post sales enablement experience

What the job involves
- The Solutions Manager role provides our customers with in-depth technical knowledge in the pre-sales and post-sales customer journey
- This role will act as the subject matter expert across our ecosystem applications (NetSuite, HubSpot and Salesforce, for example), standalone SaaS product and Messaging API
- This role will help our sales team show new perspective customers the value of SMS through Sinch MessageMedia and prepare demo environments to help support the sales team. This role must quickly learn a customer’s environment and configuration, translating to implementation and set up support
- This role must be available to help manage level 3 support, providing deep technical knowledge and training to customer-specific solutions to ensure optimal customer experience
- Our Solutions team helps bridge the gap between new customer’s needs to the product and development team’s roadmap
- Assist the sales team to qualify all opportunities within the assigned territory and support the sales effort by providing technical and best practice guidance to the sales process. This will include understanding the customers tech stack, integrations and needs to make recommendations as to the products and services that will solve or best support the customer’s needs
- Create comprehensive and user-friendly public-facing documentation to accompany and support each product release
- Demonstrate MessageMedia products and services to prospects and customers. Support presales and post-sales teams in customer engagements, promoting our services capabilities and benefits
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new business deals to drive the successful onboarding of new customers and ensure they are equipped for success
- Create and deliver accurate and technically correct sales presentations and RFI/RFP’s directly to end users and partners
- Champion product enhancements, upgrades, and innovations from the field to the product teams and centralize communication of these to our customers, partners and sales team Serve as a technical go to person for existing customers/perspective customers
- Work with system integrators / partners/resellers to guide them through technical implementation challenges
- Lead the training and development of existing team members to help them achieve certifications in key products
- Subject matter expert, recognized as a trusted advisor on all Sinch MessageMedia products across sales, account management, customer success and products teams. Specifically seeking someone with experience and background in solutioning within HubSpot, Salesforce, and NetSuite as an SME
- Manage a team of one within the United States
Our take
Over the course of well over a decade, Sinch has grown into an international service helping enterprise companies communicate with their customers over text, in-app video/voice messages, and other mobile channels. Used by Google, Tinder, Uber, and PayPal, among other marquee enterprise companies, most customers will have crossed paths with Sinch.
The company’s rise is due in part to an increased marketing focus on cultivating a highly personalised relationship between customer and brand. In part, too, it’s down to the surge in custom Sinch saw over recent years when more familiar channels of customer/brand communication went down. That seems to have settled now, but personalized messages, over text specifically, continues to play well among younger consumers.
It's going to prove a tough market to navigate going forward, though. Equally well-established competitors like Twilio, 8x8, and Link Mobility Group all have similar offerings. Sinch's foray into conversational AI will help them keep pace, as will their steady march of acquisitions, fundraising to fuel scaling efforts and partnerships with the likes of Salesforce.
