Senior Accountant, H2O.ai

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Public accounting background (Big 4 or equivalent) strongly preferred, or demonstrated technical accounting expertise
• 5+ years of general accounting experience, preferably in the software or technology industry
• Experience in Accounting systems, such as SAP S/4Hana, NetSuite, Carta, Ariba, Navan, Concur
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and a solid understanding of core accounting principles
• Advanced Excel skills (such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.) and comfort with cloud-based financial tools
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment

• We are looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Senior Accountant to join our growing finance and accounting team with the opportunity to help scale to a leading edge accounting function.
• This role will play a critical part in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including general accounting, compliance, and international subsidiary functions while helping to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency
• Support general accounting and month-end close activities
• Prepare timely and accurate journal entries and reconciliations, including in areas such as prepaids, payroll, equity, intercompany, accruals and provide fluctuation analysis on key accounts
• Support additional compliance tasks for US and international subsidiaries include tax and audit including sales tax filings, global payroll, and international filings
• Support special projects such as system optimization/implementation in related areas
• Cross-team support in other general accounting areas for vacation backup such as accounts payable and accounts receivable
