Role
Who you are
- 3–5 years of experience in a data analyst or reporting analyst role, preferably in a commercial, sales, or revenue-focused environment
- Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and SQL (Snowflake experience is a plus)
- Experience working with data visualization tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, or Metabase
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail; ability to QA and troubleshoot independently
- Excellent data storytelling skills—can build intuitive dashboards and present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in hospitality, real estate, or events is a plus
- Proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to lead global commercial reporting and analytics for our Global Commercial Strategy team
- The Senior Data Analyst will be the primary owner of the reports and dashboards that drive strategic decisions across pricing, sales, marketing, commercial strategy, and revenue optimization. This position is based in New York and follows a hybrid work model
- Build and maintain core commercial reports and dashboards across revenue pacing, booking trends, pricing performance, and sales funnel health
- Collaborate with data engineers to define business logic and ensure accuracy in data models, tables, and views
- Automate recurring reports where possible and maintain data integrity across global datasets
- Conduct ad hoc analysis to support pricing decisions, forecast updates, campaign tracking, and executive-level strategy reviews
- Translate complex data into compelling visuals and narratives for senior leadership presentations
- Identify risks, opportunities, and behavioral trends across regions and recommend data-backed actions
- Partner with regional revenue leaders, sales managers, and operations to understand reporting needs and prioritize deliverables
- Act as a thought partner in identifying gaps, improving metric definitions, and enabling consistent reporting across regions
- You’ll be the data backbone of Convene’s global revenue strategy, supporting a senior leader and shaping how we price, forecast, and grow. Your work will directly influence executive decisions and drive the success of our commercial performance across all markets
Our take
Convene provides co-working space and meeting locations inside office buildings. It was founded to change the way people meet and work, and also to revolutionise how office buildings offered hospitality services to tenants.
Convene's revenue decreased by over 60% in 2020, after the pandemic disrupted its in-person events. In response to this, the company has diversified into the video meetings market. It hosts virtual and hybrid events that more closely resemble the feeling of attending a live business conference. Users can attend the conferences online and interact with the speakers, the hosts, and other attendees in private video chats.
Convene has done well to navigate the macro challenges and reinvent itself, but there will be more challenges to come; Convene also operates in a market with big players, such as Zoom. However, in 2023, the company acquired etc.venues, widening Convene's net to the UK and establishing it as one of the largest premium and event venue companies in the US and UK with 38 locations across the two countries. The goal now is to generate a revenue of $100 million a year by 2025 and it hopes its virtual operations will form a larger percentage of this.
