Who you are

Would you like to use your skills, time, and passion for meaningful projects that are building the future?
3-5 years of experience with creating, implementing and executing Software Development Processes
Proven knowledge in working with bare metal systems on premise or in hybrid cloud environments
Deep understanding of build systems for applications written in Java, JavaScript, C++, Python and Golang
Bash scripting and general linux administration experience
Ability to support engineers with solving problems in their build, test and release pipelines
Experience with the Prometheus monitoring ecosystem
Experience with Hashicorp Vault or similar secret management systems
Experience with Ansible or similar workflow engines
Experience with Netbox or similar inventory system
Experience with Private Cloud and Public Cloud Environments (ideally Kubernetes, AWS)

What the job involves

We're looking for a Platform Engineer with proven experience in modern software delivery and loves crafting efficient, flexible and low friction workflows to build, release and deliver software
Onboarding and Integration of Services onto our Kubernetes platform
Collaborating closely with the Platform and Release Engineering Team as well as other teams on release process and automation
Improving Reliability, Performance and Feature Set of the infrastructure platform based on internal customer needs
Identifying and diagnosing issues in deployments together with software development teams

Our take

Its consoles are iconic in the gaming community - PlayStation has produced both the top-selling and fastest-selling console of all time - and the company is still pushing boundaries. Its current flagship - the PS5 - promises to revolutionise gaming, featuring new technology that will create improvements across the board.

As well as its consoles, PlayStation has also developed online services, connecting its users and giving them access to diversified media. A PlayStation can be used for a huge range of activities - from Netflix to guided workouts - which has led to the expansion of the company's audience over time and across generations.

PlayStation faces competition in its field from the likes of Microsoft, with its Xbox range, and PC gaming, which has been becoming more popular in recent years. Regardless, PlayStation shows no signs of slowing down. The upcoming implementation of in-game ads in free games looks to significantly increase revenue, and the wider PlayStation gaming experience also appears to be evolving from plans to launch live service games in upcoming years.
