  • Fintech Experience: Background in financial services or fintech, with a strong grasp of industry dynamics
  • Early-Stage, High-Growth Startup: Experience working in an early-stage, fast-paced startup environment, driving growth and scaling products
  • Analytical Decision-Making: Strong product sense with a customer-first mindset. You understand customer journeys deeply and use both qualitative insights and metrics to drive product improvements
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Able to effectively evangelize your product area and advocate for customer needs
  • Bias Toward Action: Thrive in ambiguity, take ownership of complex problems, and drive solutions with urgency and focus

  • As our customer and partner base has grown more diverse, the demand for new products, features, and capabilities has increased
  • We’re looking for someone who can help us prioritize the highest-impact projects to maximize customer value and drive our next phase of growth
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap for new features, performance optimizations, and data capabilities
  • Understand customers' needs, product capabilities, and business goals to help the team identify and prioritize high-value projects
  • Define and analyze key metrics to inform decision-making and measure success
  • Build the capability and culture for high-velocity delivery
  • Be a part of the team that redefines how banks and fintechs verify customers, changing the compliance and fraud industry

Middesk helps businesses screen, verify, and run risk and compliance checks on customers and other businesses. The founders developed the business after experiencing first-hand the often laborious process of manual identity verification, a process which has proven a pain point for many businesses historically.

This hands-on experience helped land Middesk seeding from heavyweight investors Sequoia and Accel. The company's focus is on businesses with stringent regulatory risk requirements, with a special focus on businesses involved in financial aspects like credit and payroll. Middesk’s focus on this sector opens them up to a growing, lucrative market as more businesses than ever are demanding services comparable to retail banking, credit unions and community banks.

Testament to the value of their offering is Middesk’s recent partnership with challenger bank tech platform Agora Services. The challenger bank sector is taking off fast too, and if Middesk can establish a strong reputation for servicing this burgeoning industry, they stand to win big.
