Who you are
- 8+ years in product marketing, ideally in SaaS or technology

What the job involves
- We are seeking a strategic Director of Product Marketing to communicate Stensul's unique value and drive demand for our platform
- You will collaborate with product management, sales, and customer success teams to develop marketing strategies that promote our product benefits and foster growth
- Strategic Planning: Create and implement product marketing strategies aligned with business goals
- Market Analysis: Conduct research to inform product positioning and messaging
- Product Messaging: Develop compelling messaging that resonates with target audiences
- Campaign Development: Execute marketing campaigns to drive product awareness and demand
- Product Launches: Lead the introduction of new and enhanced products
- Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with resources and training to communicate our value
- Customer Insights: Analyze feedback to refine messaging and identify growth opportunities
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product management and other departments for successful launches
- Performance Tracking: Monitor marketing initiatives, optimize strategies, and report key metrics
- Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing product marketing team
Our take
Creating high-performance marketing emails can be time consuming for internal teams, who often have to rely on engineering and product teams for support. The founders of Stensul noted the number of tools available to businesses to support email delivery, but saw this gap for helping with creation.
Considering the importance of email in the world of marketing, every company in the world is a potential client for Stensul, and it has already worked with enterprise brands including YouTube, Samsung, Verizon Media, BMW, and Capital One. Despite competition from larger email marketing services such as MailChimp and Moosend, the company has secured substantial backing which enabled it to expand operations throughout the last few years.
Most lately, Stensul has focussed on improving its functionality, with the largest change being the addition of a landing page builder to its platform. This capability is now treated as a core part of the company's offering, and should help it expand its roster of clientele. In addition, it has added generative AI features with the aim to "improve creation efficiency" for its users, another step to ensure it stays at the front of the market.
