Who you are
- This internship is ideal for a student eager to learn the fundamentals of requirement gathering, project management, and client relationship strategies while working closely with experienced professionals
- Current enrolment in an undergraduate or graduate program (Business, Information Systems, or related field preferred)
- Strong interest in product management, business analysis, or related fields
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with project management tools or frameworks (a plus)
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
What the job involves
- Join our Registry Solutions Team as a Product Management Intern and gain invaluable hands-on experience in business analysis and product management
- Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements for ongoing projects
- Conduct analysis and research on business processes and systems to identify areas of improvement
- Develop and Present business cases and proposals for new projects and initiatives
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of business solutions
- Prepare user manuals, training materials, and technical documentation
- Support project management tasks, including identifyingand tracking risks, dependencies, and milestones and coordinating with stakeholders
- Shadow senior team members to gain insights into contract review processes and client relationship management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals and deliverables
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions for product enhancements

The market for carbon offset and RECs is growing fast, with firms and businesses looking to trade in order to meet sustainability requirements and ESG goals. With the market currently fractured and somewhat murky, however, a wave of startups are emerging to establish a dominant exchange that’s both centralized and transparent. Xpansiv is one of them - and it’s gotten a strong headstart on the competition.
Xpansiv allows companies to trade environmental commodities including offsets, RECs, and differentiated fuels. The platform offers a range of marketplaces, alongside signal data, portfolio management capabilities, and global registries.
So it’s a comprehensive combination of exchanges, analytics, and tools. Its edge, however, comes from its extensive backing. It’s struck a long term and hefty financing arrangement with Blackstone, the world’s largest private equity firm, and among its equity investors are BP, British Oil, Goldman Sachs and the Bank of America. This in total recently gave it a pre-IPO evaluation of over $1B.
With this top-tier industry involvement, Xpansiv looks set to net some major players. This will help Xpansiv establish itself as a leader in the emerging environmental and commodities exchange market.
