Who you are
- 3+ years of professional development experience with Python—you’re seasoned and ready to tackle new challenges
- Advanced expertise in Python frameworks, particularly Django and FastAPI, to build robust applications
- Proven experience in developing and deploying CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery processes
- Strong understanding of software design principles that drive quality and maintainability
- Excellent communication skills—you can articulate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively
- High ownership mentality—you take pride in your work and see projects through to completion
- A true team player—egoless and empathetic, you thrive in a collaborative environment
- Serve as an Individual Contributor reporting to the RM Engineering Manager
- Fluent in English, with a knack for engaging in technical discussions

What the job involves
- As a (Senior) Backend Engineer at RoomPriceGenie, you'll step into an exciting, fast-paced role at a rapidly growing B2B SaaS company
- You'll join our RM team to take on diverse and impactful responsibilities that drive our success
- Collaborate with a talented team of ML, Backend and Data Engineers, leveraging Python and Django/FastAPI to create innovative solutions
- Evolve our architecture to seamlessly scale with an increasing number of users, features, and data—help us grow!
- Partner closely with Product and Design teams, taking full ownership of projects from conception through post-deployment in a dynamic, collaborative setting
- Cultivate a strong engineering organization and vibrant development culture, fostering an environment where creativity and excellence thrive

Setting and managing room rates is a constant headache for small and medium-sized hotels. Even slight pricing errors can make the difference between profit and loss, and without expert knowledge, they're often left navigating this crucial aspect of their business blindfolded.
RoomPriceGenie's solution simplifies this process by providing an automated pricing system that leverages data analysis to optimise rates. By analysing data from up to 500 nearby properties, it allows hotel managers, even those without prior experience in price management systems, to make informed decisions and maximise revenue.
Recognising the potential of RoomPriceGenie, BADideas.fund invested heavily in the company, as did Five Elms Capital in 2025 with $75 million in VC funding. These votes of confidence, coupled with the company's global ambitions, arm RoomPriceGenie with the chance to capture a significant market share and revolutionise the way small and medium-sized hotels approach pricing.
