Role
Who you are
- Effective communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Good understanding of JavaScript and interested in learning TypeScript, Angular, and working with design systems
- I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree or taking a practical course in Computer Science/Software Engineering
- Available to start in as soon as possible (exact date to be discussed)
- Excellent English communication skills
- Residency in the Netherlands with the ability to be at our office at least two days a week
What the job involves

- Zivver is looking for a talented and motivated intern to join our team for the internship program. This is an excellent opportunity to work on real-world projects, learn from experienced professionals, and jumpstart your career in software engineering
- You will join our Extensions team to improve our design system, optimize read/send flows, create end-to-end tests, and ensure future components and features are accessible from the start
- Programming languages: Our teams Typescript together with Angular for the Front-end
- QA Practices: Explore the phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle and various testing types and gain hands-on experience in unit testing
- Agile with Scrum: Participate in sprints, daily stand-up meetings, and retrospectives to deliver features quickly and iteratively
- A challenging internship for 32 to 40 hours per week, lasting a minimum of 20 weeks
Our take
Organisations are increasingly utilising instant messaging applications for external and internal communication, as they are a faster and cheaper mode of communication. With this, it becomes increasingly important to secure the messaging infrastructure as these communication environments are less secure.
Zivver offers a secure communications platform for organisations, especially those in regulated industries such as government, law and healthcare, to enable secure communication, namely through email data protection and secure file transfer. Cloud-based secure messaging products and solutions that offer this security is a market expected to grow rapidly - and indeed, Zivver has been recognised as one of the fastest-growing technology companies according to Deloitte.
Similar companies offering solutions for organisation communications include Realtyme and Netsfere. Zivver plans to continue adding other useful features to their product such as digital signatures, secure forms and secure video. It will invest its capital, backed by DN Capital and SmartFin, to continue market expansion in the UK as well as other international markets.
