Role
Who you are
- You have a dedicated amount of experience in wholesale operations, demand planning, or sales support within a fast-paced CPG or retail environment; experience at the Managerial level required in order to drive business goals forward
- You’re highly organized and detail-oriented, with deep familiarity with systems like Microsoft D365, JOOR/NuOrder, SPS Commerce, or similar
- You love solving operational puzzles and know how to build a process where there isn’t any
- You’ve worked with 3PLs and understand how to hold partners accountable to SLAs and timelines
- You have strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and can translate complex data into actionable insights
- You’re a team player who thrives in cross-functional environments, and you’re always looking for ways to help others move faster and smarter
- You’re energized by speed, precision, and the satisfaction of running a channel that just works

What the job involves
- We are hiring a Senior Manager of Wholesale Sales Operations to join our Wholesale team and lead the operational backbone of our fast-growing wholesale channel
- Reporting to the Director of Wholesale, this role will take Away further by driving flawless execution across order management, inventory allocation, and retailer compliance, in turn ensuring our products reach customers efficiently and accurately while supporting the channel’s rapid scale
- You’ll own end-to-end wholesale order entry and tracking, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across EDI and ERP systems
- You’ll ensure compliance with retailer routing guides, shipping windows, and labeling requirements to minimize chargebacks
- You’ll manage SKU setup, product data, pricing updates, and availability across wholesale systems and portals
- You’ll develop tools and trackers that improve visibility and accountability across the order lifecycle
- You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (Sales, Planning, Logistics, 3PLs) to problem-solve order exceptions or fulfillment delays
- Our working hours are 9am-6pm et, but we embrace a common-sense approach to flexibility in the workplace. It’s about being present, engaged, and balancing work with real-life needs

Away took on a market that was being ignored by everyone else - luggage - and it's had great success bringing innovation to a product that has been unchanged for decades. With simple touches like adding a mobile charging pack inside the suitcase, it has given luggage a big overhaul, and has survived through both a global pandemic and controversial former CEO.
The company, now headed by co-founder Jen Rubio, spent some time revamping its core business and working on its workplace culture, and has successfully grown its internal infrastructure and retail presence in the last couple of years. In 2022 it partnered with United - its first partnership with a major airline - to provide customers with onboard amenity kits, which represents another step in the company's impressive return to form.
