Who you are
- Structured Problem Solver: Excels at bringing structured thinking to complex problems, breaking down ambiguous problems into actionable frameworks

- 10+ years of experience, including in consulting, ads strategy/go-to-market, or related roles
- Deep understanding of digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google, Meta, Reddit, retail media networks)
- Strong analytical skills, including experience with SQL and data-driven decision making
- Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and define strategy from first principles
- Experience in working collaboratively and influencing stakeholder teams to drive results without direct authority
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a strategic, analytical, and product-minded leader to shape the future of our Ads platform. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Sales, and Strategy, and will play a critical role in defining how advertisers plan, launch, and optimize campaigns on our platform
- As Director of Ad Platform Strategy, you will influence the vision and evolution of our ads platform strategy, including everything from campaign design/management to ads tooling. You’ll partner closely with Product, Sales, and Operations to design scalable solutions that work across both Enterprise and SMB partners, while unlocking new performance and revenue opportunities
- This is a highly cross-functional role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, brings strong strategic thinking, and is equally comfortable diving into data and shaping long-term platform vision
- Product Go-To-Market Strategy: Develop positioning, rollout strategy, and activation plans that translate product capabilities into commercial impact
- Strategic Leadership: Lead large cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through launch, structuring ambiguous opportunities into clear plans with measurable outcomes
- Cross-Functional Execution: Partner closely with product, sales, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, remove blockers, and ensure disciplined delivery
- Data-Driven Strategy: Analyze & translate data into actionable insights that influence product development and go-to-market strategy
- Revenue Acceleration: Identify growth levers using data and market insights; define KPIs and track performance to ensure initiatives drive measurable results
Our take
Leading mobile shopping and loyalty platform Fetch has seen explosive success in recent years. Its concept is simple: users receive spendable points in exchange for scans of their shopping receipts.
The app has tens of millions of daily active users with even more downloads, and has seen impressive growth, having now reached 'unicorn' status twice over. This should come as no surprise. Brand reinforcement is crucial to customer retention and acquisition - but it is harder than ever, with the fragmentation of choice on the market and the declining efficacy of marketing. So material loyalty benefits are likely to prove a crucial tool in creating and leveraging a strong customer base.
Whilst Fetch faces competition from similar receipt-scan rewards platforms like ReceiptPal and Ibotta, it grew into a profitable company in late 2023. And its using its most recent Morgan Stanley-backed funding to aggressively add brand partners at a competitive pace and onboard staff at a level that promises strong continued growth.
