Who you are

You must be commutable to our NYC headquarters and will operate in a hybrid environment with 2 days per week in the office (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
5+ years of professional writing experience
Proven track record developing successful ad campaigns for industry-leading brands
Experience creating and implementing processes for copywriting excellence
Strong understanding of how to write persuasive copy that drives engagement and conversions across the funnel
Ability to distill complex concepts into compelling narratives, and adapt tone and style for various audiences
Positive, collaborative, and open to feedback, contributing to strong cross functional working relationships

What the job involves

As the Copywriting Lead, you’ll be responsible for building out the copywriting discipline at GlossGenius. You will create new processes and guidelines, craft compelling copy for key marketing touchpoints, and work cross-functionally to uplevel the excellence of GlossGenius content across the organization
You will work hand in hand with the Brand team on campaign development, Creative and Performance teams on ad creation, and Product Marketing teams on positioning
This role will bring our unique and resonant voice to life across the funnel, drive consistency in-market, and ultimately help us attract and delight more customers
You will report to the Director of Brand Marketing
Establish a streamlined content creation process that drives consistency and excellence across the marketing ecosystem
Create engaging copy for cross-channel marketing efforts by leading on ad copy creation, integrated campaign messaging guides, and tagline development
Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing creative and strategic ideas that uplevel our marketing
Write copy for select UX projects, contributing to messaging across the GlossGenius product experience

However, despite a modern facade the beauty industry lacks specialized software and still runs on generic CRMs and basic spreadsheets. Recognizing a gap in the market, GlossGenius has stepped in to provided a specialized business management platform for beauty salons, spas and studios.

With little competition in this niche, GlossGenius has swiftly captured a large market share, with triple-digit year on year revenue growth. It serves over 1000,000 businesses and has raised more than $70M.

With this funding, the company is aiming to accelerate platform development off the back of the release of consumer experience, payment and automation products. And it is well on the way to fulfilling its long-term aim of developing into the Toast of the beauty industry.
