Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment, with strong proven execution skills to deliver end-to-end functionality with data-driven feedback loops
- Highly proficient in developing modern full-stack web applications on client- and server- side
- Skilled in using AI coding tools to enhance software development and productivity, and proven track record as a change agent in development teams with deploying and using AI
- Familiarity with REST APIs integration and development
- Experience using AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic Gemini, LLMs, etc., to build AI-powered solutions
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and deployment
- Proven ability to lead and work well with cross-functional teams on complex projects
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders in handling complex decisions and changes
What the job involves
- As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will be part of a Product squad to create tech-forward, AI-driven solutions that help HR teams and their employees navigate the complex world of benefits and healthcare. You will leverage cutting-edge technologies, including AI and machine learning, to drive the development of scalable, intelligent applications that enable more automated and efficient business processes through exceptional user experiences
- Build web application / product features where you will apply programming principles and algorithms to design and implement scalable and robust systems with a focus on simplicity and efficiency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, User Experience, Business Operations and AI to weigh trade-offs of near and long term solutions
- Support engineering through leadership, mentorship and leading by example – setting high standards for personal and team’s code quality, test coverage and performance
- Drive innovation through the use of AI tools and platforms for developing software and implementing solutions

While traditional brokers earn commissions through complex deals with Fortune 500 companies, Nava takes a different approach. It uses technology to craft personalized benefits plans for smaller employers and make it easy for employees to navigate their benefits. From understanding their options and booking appointments sot interpreting claims and solving billing issues, Nava simplifies the entire process.
One of Nava's challenges will be staying ahead of the curve by continuously adopting the latest innovations in healthcare benefits. To strengthen its position, the company has acquired i2, a healthcare benefits consulting firm, adding valuable expertise to its team. Additionally, Nava launched its "Members Experience" offering, which streamlines everything from open enrollment to ongoing member support, ensuring a smoother and more transparent benefits journey for employees.
