- You also demonstrate the “always on” mentality that’s required to drive exceptional value for DubClub’s partners
What the job involves
- You will be a critical member of the New Partnerships team working in service of DubClub’s Go To Market strategy (”GTM”)
- DubClub’s Go to Market strategy is simple: Grow DubClub Partners Gross Merchandise Value (“GMV”)!
- In the pursuit of growing GMV, the New Partnerships team is responsible for acquiring high-quality sports content creators to be CEOs on DubClub
- As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for executing the “OWL” triad: outreach, win, and launch the next crop of great DubClub Partner CEOs!
- You will own the entire sales lifecycle, from prospecting through close and launch
- Acquiring great new Partners drives momentum for the entire Company
- The importance of this role cannot be understated
- You are being hired to acquire high-quality sports content creators to be CEOs on DubClub
- Within 90 days of being hired, you will be expected to be acquiring $60K+ of monthly GMV to the platform every month
- Outreach: you will proactively identify, qualify, and reach out to sports content creators to be CEOs on DubClub. 99% of your outreach will occur via social media direct messaging channels (X, Instagram, TikTok)
- Ou’re calling on very busy “solopreneurs” and digital creators. You need to be provocative, punchy, and “pattern interrupt” prospects with your outreach messaging
- Win: you will efficiently discover where DubClub can add value to a sports content creator CEO’s business. You will be consultative with your prospects and build within them the confidence they need to start a partnership with DubClub
- You will earn their partnership by adding value to them and helping them understand how much more money they could be making with DubClub
- Launch: you will work closely with your prospects to ensure that they are equipped for a successful “launch” of their DubClub business. You will give them the guidance and resources they need to crush the beginning of their DubClub journey
- We’re open to considering candidates outside of Chicago, but the first six months will need to be in-person in Chicago. If the hire exceeds expectations, they’ll have the flexibility to work from anywhere they choose
Our take
Sports content creators, known as Cappers, are valuable information sources for those placing bets on sports matches. However, the founders of DubClub discovered that collating all these creators' information was an unreliable process of scrolling through different sources. Its solution is a platform where sports content creators are paid to publish their videos and blogs on one platform, creating a centralized source of information for bettors and sports content subscribers.
The concept behind DubClub is multifaceted in that it works both as a betting source for odds and strategies, but also as a social media and publishing marketplace for the casual sports fan. The paid subscriptions to specific content creators mean that income for creators isn’t diluted through aggregated monthly earnings, meaning that in theory, content creators would make more direct income than on other platforms reliant on advertising.
Though a small company, more informed betting and higher earnings for content creators are an attractive prospect for consumers and creators alike. DubClub is only set to grow off the back of 2024’s round of $7.5 million in Series A funding. It’ll be interesting to see how the company develops its platform and market share.
