Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of project management or related experience in a SaaS environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with software implementation processes and lifecycle management
- Problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Technical aptitude and proficiency with Professional Services and CRM tools
- Strong aptitude of technology tools and solutions
- Strong initiative, innovative thinking skills, and ability to analyze details and translate into the “big picture” view
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing product and respond strategically to customer needs
- Experience in software implementation, IT project management, or related roles
- PMP or CAPM certification, or willingness to obtain within 12 months
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
- Experience working in a client-facing role
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. Rocketlane, Jira)
- Experience with government budgeting concepts and practices and/or finance/budgeting solutions
What the job involves
- As a Project Manager II within our Professional Services team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and coordinating software implementation projects from initiation to successful delivery.
- You will work closely with clients, cross-functional teams, and project sponsors to ensure projects are executed on time, within scope (quality deliverables and customer experience), and within budget. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on project management experience in a dynamic environment, with an emphasis on communication, task coordination, budget ownership, and problem-solving
- Set scope, timeline, and deliverables to ensure a successful deployment for multiple customers
- Ability to organize a portfolio of multiple projects for tracking and delivery
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients on day-to-day project matters, ensuring clear and consistent communication
- Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects stay on schedule
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including technical, product, implementation, and customer success teams, to align project efforts
- Assist in resolving project issues and escalating any risks to senior management or clients when necessary
- Participate in the sales process as needed
- Support Statement of Work creation on an as-needed basis
- Occasionally travel to customer sites to conduct training and solidify customer relationships
- Assist in enhancing our methodology of project delivery of our growing set of solutions
