Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Informatics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Statistics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, with a focus on quality analysis
- Proven experience in leading data analysis efforts and providing strategic insights
- Proficient in statistical analysis and data modeling techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to derive actionable insights from complex healthcare data
- Proficient in using data analysis tools and software, such as R, Python, SAS, SQL, or other relevant platforms
- Familiarity with data visualization tools
- Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding and leading data analysis teams
- Ability to mentor and support junior analysts
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to convey complex healthcare analytics findings in a clear and concise manner
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Strong knowledge of research methodologies and literature review processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple data analysis projects simultaneously, from conception to completion
- Commitment to staying informed about advancements in healthcare analytics and related fields
- Comfortable with standard (e.g. NCQA, HEDIS) quality metric methodologies
- Strong understanding of SQL and complex query building
- Prior experience with data modeling and management
- Familiarity with data visualization tooling (Looker) to build reports and dashboards for stakeholder consumption

What the job involves
- This role supports quality analytics by leveraging Cityblock data infrastructure to build, maintain and share standard operating metrics, financial models, ad hoc deep dives with key stakeholders
- This position is an active thought partner and collaborator with several business areas within Cityblock including Clinical Quality, Strategic Finance and the markets
- Lead and conduct in-depth analysis of healthcare data to assess the prevalence of various illnesses and impact of quality programs
- Utilize statistical methods and advanced analytics to derive actionable insights
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including other analysts, researchers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and accurate data analysis
- Participate in team discussions and contribute to the development of analytical approaches
- Provide strategic insights based on data analysis to inform healthcare strategy and decision-making
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate analytics into broader organizational initiatives
- Develop clear and visually compelling data visualizations to communicate complex analytics findings to technical and non-technical audiences
- Utilize visualization tools to enhance the understanding of quality data
- Implement and oversee quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytics results
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of analytical processes
- Stay informed about the latest research, literature, and industry trends related to quality
- Integrate relevant findings into analytical approaches and recommendations
- Manage multiple analytical projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality
- Provide regular updates on project progress to leadership
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the quality analytics function
- Stay informed about advancements in healthcare analytics methodologies
