Who you are
- 2-5+ years of experience with both direct and indirect sales within the healthcare and benefits industry and history of overachieving on sales targets
- Experience and understanding of the healthcare, payer, provider and employer benefits ecosystem, with an impressive track record of engaging new business and building strong partnerships

What the job involves
- The Director of Sales- Mid-Market will be responsible for all commercial activity in their designated region (West)
- This individual will develop and execute a strategic plan to sell to Mid-Market account (<3,500 total US employees) employers both directly and leveraging key consultant and channel relationships
- This individual will build and manage the entire sales pipeline, from new business prospecting to building relationships with potential clients to closing business and growing channel partnerships
- Possessing a strong understanding of the healthcare marketplace, this Director of Sales will identify and secure new business opportunities and partnerships with various players in the space, specifically targeting employers
- Relationship-driven and mission-oriented, this Director of Sales will build strong relationships with a consultative sales mindset
- Lead operational and strategic efforts to build and grow our business across the <3,500 employer base within the territory
- Responsible for increasing the customer base, customer loyalty, revenue per customer and top-line financial growth for the business
- Work closely with the leadership team, building brand equity and driving product sales across B2B clients
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of Vida’s technology, product offerings and mission, contributing to all three equally
- Understand target customer’s business needs, leveraging consultative skillset to develop customized proposals and determine buyer criterion
- Initiate, develop and maintain strong executive and decision-maker-level relationships
- Generate new business and sales leads through a mixture of networking and following up on marketing campaigns and inbound inquiries, along with strong channel partnership efforts
- Ensure a long-term competitive edge for the business through a value-added approach to prospects and customers
- Understand key and emerging market segments and the business drivers for each; help refine positioning as needed
Our take
Technology presents a vast range of solutions to help improve the quality of care that individuals can access, including health tracking apps, digital medical appointments and virtual health coaching. However, these innovations have ultimately resulted in a tangle of resources and solutions which can be difficult or inconvenient to access.
Vida Health integrates a wide variety of these innovations in the healthcare industry into packages, aiming to provide improved healthcare to individuals, employers and health insurers with an organized selection of physical and mental health services. This approach is more convenient and effective than finding and signing on to individual services, and Vida has accordingly grown a large customer base including the likes of PayPal, ebay and Prudential.
With the mass of options available to improve healthcare becoming overwhelming, Vida Health has been smart to identify the need for an integratedsolution. Investors agree - it has attracted significant levels of funding, most recently in a Series D round. Going forward the company is well poised to grow further as employers increasingly realize the importance of supporting their employees' mental and physical health needs.
