Role
Who you are
- Are a student in a data science, econometrics, or related field, looking for a hands-on internship starting on a short term
- Are available for at least 4 days a week and eager to work from our Amsterdam office
- Are fluent in English and Dutch. This is a must, as you will be working for our Dutch clients
- Have experience in data analytics, and you are eager to take ownership and have proved this with previous side-projects or work experience
- Are keen to learn the business side of a purpose-driven tech company
- Love to learn by doing and by engaging closely with colleagues
- Want to use your skills to build a platform that's making a difference in the world

What the job involves
- We are dedicated to turning today’s waste system on its head and keep valuable resources in the loop. From airports to multinationals, we help organizations radically reduce waste and reroute it to its next best use. - To help tackle this complex challenge, we’re looking for a curious and driven Data intern to join our data team in Amsterdam
- This isn’t a coffee-fetching internship; you’ll be learning fast, working side by side with our NL team, and gaining real experience that has proven to help you land your future dream job. Expect to grow your skills by doing, not just observing
- Work with together with multiple teams (Customer Success, Operations, Finance) under the mentorship of the Dutch business analysts
- Sharpen your data and AI skills and learn to really enable our team to work in a data-driven way
- Gain invaluable experience in a fast-moving international scale-up, actively contributing to our vital mission

Our take
Waste is a major problem in Europe, with millions of tonnes incinerated annually. While the EU has set ambitious targets of zero waste by 2030, the infrastructure doesn't yet exist to achieve these goals. Enter Seenons, a Dutch startup aiming to make zero waste a reality. Its platform is designed to connect the waste chain and stimulate the circular economy, saving resources and fighting climate change in the process.
Seenons' platform works by linking together waste companies in a kind of marketplace, connecting waste channels in such a way that the right kind of waste reaches the right processors. This saves a huge amount of waste from the incinerator and, as the only solution of its type in Europe, this has resulted in the company collecting numerous awards and a good dose of funding.
Seenons has grown its team swiftly and embarked on acquisitions of Danish, Belgian and Swiss waste companies, setting its sights on becoming the European leader in the circular economy. As demand for zero-waste solutions continues to rise, it should find ample opportunity for scaling, especially a new funding supports both organic and inorganic growth.
